About Us

STEM2Leaf Robotics was founded in 2017 to give underserved youth in our community the opportunity to explore science and technology! We host weekly workshops, camps, and a robotics team for students at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito using our custom curriculum. We also host summer camps internationally.

Curriculum

We developed a custom curriculum with lessons, projects, and videos! Each lesson builds on each other and makes sure students learn all the fundmental programming and engineering concepts. Our virtual lessons have themes such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar to keep students engaged! Using the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot system, students build and program their own projects during each workshop.

Global

We host camps internationally both in-person and virtually in India and Japan. We hope to continue expanding STEM2Leaf abroad to widen access in multiple communities.

Competitive Team

We created a FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team for our graduating K-8 students, so that they can continue to pursue their robotics passions. STEM2Leaf completely sponsors the team and provides them with mentors and resources. They recently won the Judges’ Choice Award at a League Tournament.

Partners

Harnessing the power of the FIRST robotics community, STEM2Leaf Robotics partnered with local robotics teams to connect volunteers with the students! We have received generous sponsorship from the Del Mar Rotary Club and the McCarthy Family Foundation.
